Effective [EFFECTIVE_DATE]. These terms are a binding agreement between you and [ENTITY] (“Chirp,” “we,” “us”). Review by counsel required before publishing.
1. What Chirp is. Chirp is a platform for publishing and backing user-submitted accounts of platform support failures. We provide a venue and tools; we do not verify, endorse, or guarantee any case, and we do not promise any outcome from any third party.
2. Eligibility & accounts. You must be at least [13/16/18 — per counsel and COPPA/GDPR-K] to use Chirp. Accounts use passwordless sign-in (email or phone) and an optional user-held recovery key. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your recovery key safe; we cannot recover an account without it.
3. Your content. You keep ownership of what you post. You grant [ENTITY] a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, rank, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting Chirp. You represent that you have the right to post it, that it’s truthful to the best of your knowledge, and that it doesn’t violate the Community Guidelines or anyone’s rights.
4. Acceptable use. You agree not to post anything prohibited by the Community Guidelines or Content & Moderation Policy, not to misuse the backing/ranking mechanics (no brigading, sockpuppeting, or manipulation), and not to attack, attempt to break, or scrape the service.
5. Moderation. We may hide, remove, label, or decline any content, and restrict or remove any account, at our discretion, consistent with our published Content & Moderation Policy. Labeling or hosting a case is not an endorsement of it.
6. No verification; no warranty. Cases are users’ own accounts and are unverified unless explicitly marked reviewed. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t warrant accuracy of user content or that any platform will respond.
7. Limitation of liability. [Standard limitation of liability and indemnification clauses — drafted by counsel for [JURISDICTION].]
8. Termination. You can delete your account and content at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
10. Governing law & disputes. [JURISDICTION; dispute-resolution / arbitration clause per counsel.]
